Adfam

Our Vision

Adfam is UK based charity organisation with a goal to make life easier for families of drug or alcohol addicts. We have a desire to provide an opportunity to be a part of an encouraging and loving family, to take advantage of stable relationships and have good physical and mental health to anybody that has been struck by another person's alcohol and drug abuse.

Alcohol and drug abuse can endanger and eventually ruin family relations and harmony.

Our Goal

We stop these incidents happening by enabling family members as well as support workers to influence the addict's decision-making.

What We Care About

We give families and frontline workers their voice As we know that individuals have answers if they have face or confront challenges. Our supporters informed what we do: We support and empower both people affected by substance misuse and the workers who support them with the evidence and compassion with us. So that both groups can help themselves, their peers, communities and clients, we build skills, confidence, pathways and resources.

We're Driven By What Works

Substance use has a very significant but varied effect on family members. Our approach of work with care and close regard which works in the whole world. To achieve this, we never underestimate the value of real-life experience as well as formal research evidence and we also embrace evidence in all diversity. Our work is driven by our supporters, colleagues, friends and what they see.

We're Serious About Our Mission

We are committed to deliver high quality work because we are serious about our work and our partnerships. We recognise that injustice and discrimination are the biggest threats towards individual and family recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. We advocate for just society of individuals with equal rights and opportunities regardless of their drug or alcohol orientation to make a contribution using individual potential towards nation building activities through collective participation.

Who We Work With

  • Families, companions and carers - Our purpose is to accompany the needy to freedom from substance use through encouragement and persuasion to draw strength from within to participate in productive activities.
  • Frontline workers - We train workers to have confidence and capability so we can rest assured they will be useful and efficient in their work.
